The Rebecca C is a Blight Fast Worker 11metres (36ft) Catamaran. It is the only Catamaran in Cork Harbour that was purpose built for sea angling. It is equipped with an island wheel house giving the advantage of fishing from all aspects while onboard. The wheel house is spacious so if the heavens open there is ample space inside for all anglers. She is fast, modern and carries a P5 licence which allows her to operate within 30 miles of designated ports.

She is insured to comfortably carry 12 passengers plus 2 crew. She has been fitted with a state of the art Ray Marine Axiom chart plotter, transducer, all the relevant navigation, fish-finding and safety equipment. You can find Rebecca C on AIS Marine Traffic.

The Rebecca C is powered by twin 280hp Iveco engines which means that our customers can get to fishing grounds faster. She has a cruising speed of 14knots.

Safety is our number 1 concern. Our list of equipment includes a 14 person life raft, 12 life jackets, flares, epirb, 2 Vhf radios, and we have 3 plotters.

Derek is a highly qualified and experienced skipper/angler with 20 years boat-handling experience. As a local Ballycotton man with experience on fishing trawlers Derek has a wealth of knowledge of the local coastline, maritime history and safety at sea.

In addition, Derek received mentoring by Brian Byrne, formerly of the Lagosta II. Brian specialises in wreck fishing. He was responsible for pioneering wreck fishing in the 1980’s and is highly regarded by the sea angling community.
